Research areas
Combinatorics and algorithmics
My research lies at the crossroads of combinatorics, algorithmics and theoretical computer science. Its common thread is the study of quantitative properties of discrete combinatorial structures that are ubiquitous in computer science. I am particularly interested in words and automata, as well as permutations and graphs. My goal is to quantify metric or algebraic properties of these objects, relying on fine-grained combinatorial analysis — a key step towards simulating these structures, studying their limit shapes, or precisely analysing the behaviour of algorithms that manipulate them. The methods I use are bijective, probabilistic, or drawn from analytic combinatorics.
