Résumé : The asymmetric simple exclusion process is a paradigm of stochastic interacting particles, that was invented to describe low-dimensional transport with constraints. Thanks to its rich mathematical and combinatorial properties, exact solutions have been obtained for this system and have lead us to a better understanding of non-equilibrium statistical mechanics. The aim of this talk is to review some results about this model, describe the methods involved and present some recent developments.
